THE ARTIST BEHIND THE NAME

Ivofonic is musical brainchild of Ivano Abram, a multifaceted musician and producer based in Melbourne, Australia. Born in Italy in 1980, Ivano embarked on his musical journey at the tender age of 12 when he picked up his first guitar. His passion for music led him to obtain a diploma in sound engineering and a Bachelor’s Degree in ‘Multimedia and Audiovisual Communication’ from the University of Ferrara, Italy. Beyond his musical pursuits, Ivano is also committed to social betterment as community advocate, working in the not-for-profit sector to improve the lives of disadvantaged individuals.

THE IVOFONIC SOUND: A MELODIC TAPESTRY

Ivofonic’s sound is an eclectic amalgamation of electronic and alternative genres, seamlessly weaving together elements of Electro-Pop, EDM, Synth-Pop, House, Electro-Punk, Trip-Hop, and Big Beat. Ivano’s vocal prowess adds a unique dimension to his compositions—his voice is deep, melodic, and laden with emotion. A multi-instrumentalist, Ivano’s musical arsenal includes guitar, bass, keyboards, synthesisers, drum machines, and samplers, each contributing to the rich tapestry of Ivofonic’s sound. Ivofonic’s musical influences are as diverse as they are profound. His early exposure to The Beatles, courtesy of his father, laid the foundation for his musical tastes. The pop, rock, and grunge of the ’80s and ’90s, as well as the electronic and dance music of the ’90s, played pivotal roles in shaping his style.

THE EMOTIONAL LANDSCAPE: MUSIC AS A MEDIUM

Ivofonic serves as Ivano’s emotional and artistic sanctuary. It is, as Ivano puts it, “a declaration of love for my biggest and forever passion, music.” Ivofonic is not just an artistic endeavour but also a therapeutic space, a realm where Ivano can articulate emotions that defy conventional expression.

Since its official inception in 2021, Ivofonic has been a collaborative nexus, partnering with some of Melbourne’s most promising indie artists such as The Safety Word, Robodop Snei, James Peden, Increment, and Megalove.
